Here at Central Park United Methodist Church, we believe Christian Education can touch the lives of everyone in the congregation - from the very young to the very old!
Through mentoring and intentional relationship-building, we seek to foster a welcoming, caring environment where children can grow and thrive, developing a life of Christian discipleship that will serve them all their lives. Each Sunday following the children’s message the children and youth leave for their Christian Education groups (see below). Throughout the year, they participate in a wide-variety of field trips and events designed to expose them to new cultural and educational attractions in and around our city. We also offer summer camping scholarships for children and youth. Parents: please take a moment to fill out the Registration/Permission Forms for your child/children who will be participating in youth groups and Sunday school and turn them into your child’s teacher.

Christian Education Groups
Infants and Toddlers (Birth to Kindergarten)
Loving, consistent child care is available for infants and toddlers in the nursery from 10:15 - 12:30 each Sunday. Parents or guardians can drop off their children before the service and pick them up at the conclusion of the service. If you need directions, an usher will be happy to help you!
Children of Faith (K – 6th)
Every week our Kindergarten through 6th graders will head for their faith formation group right after the Children’s Message during the service. We incorporate a variety of learning methods to engage the children each week in the Bible stories, often using activities, crafts, videos, and games as part of our curriculum. It’s colorful, engaging, and theologically grounded, to give them the tools they need to explore the Bible in fun and age-appropriate ways!
Young People of Faith (7th – 12th)
Each Sunday, the teachers will be leading them on a variety of topics using different curriculum options. They’ll address not only issues going on in their immediate surroundings (school, home, community) but broader issues as well. How do they take their faith and apply it to their everyday life? Join them for some straight talking, but never boring guidance on some personal faith issues.
